Challenge
Aurora Caskets is the third largest funeral service supplier in America. Conversations surrounding funeral planning remains uncomfortable for most people, making it difficult for Aurora to sell directly to consumers online. We needed to create a tasteful digital experience that increased Aurora’s market share through existing channels.
Idea
By reframing funeral planning as a celebration-driven digital experience commemorating a person’s life, we steered away from its transactional nature and entered the conversation gracefully and authentically. Beremembered.com is a social website that transforms this taboo topic into a conversation about taking control, leaving behind memories, and creating a sense of relief.
Result
As a result of website engagement, we were able to successfully drive prospects to preferred funeral homes (those who sell more Aurora caskets) and generate revenue indirectly. BeRemembered was an industry-recognized success with multiple awards, including the Communicator Award, and Hermes Creative Award, amongst others.
